Supplying concrete from our Elk City plant and a portable plant erected on each job site, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø produced tens of thousands of yards of concrete for the windmill bases of the Red Hills and Elk City wind farms in Western Oklahoma. We're proud to continue our environmental dedication by being a part of these clean energy projects.

WHERE THE WIND COMES SWEEPING...
Across the world, governments, communities and even individuals are searching forÌýrenewable sources of power. In ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's home state, the most obvious choice comes straight from our state song.
Wind farms have sprouted across the state, and we're privileged to be a part of the construction of these massive structures. But when it's time to act, things happen fast – and they don't stop until the work is done.
A POWERFUL HUNGER
The first step in any wind farm project is a 20'x20' slab, which the engineers use as a work slab. That's followed by the actual foundation, which requires about 300 square yards of 5,000 psi concrete. On top of that is the pedestal, which the turbine itself is fastened to.
But think about where wind farms are – you don't find them next to the shopping center in town. They're far out in rural areas, so we don't haul thousands of yards to the middle of nowhere – we bring concrete plants to them.
"It's how we've done it for more than a hundred years. And how we intend to do it for a hundred more."
